Educational TV

Many kids spend many hours watching many shows.  Throughout TV history, some shows have promoted education in a variety of ways.  What was your favorite educational TV show when you were little?  Check out this list of cool educational TV shows.  Did you watch any?  Would you have enjoyed any of these as a kid?

Find a film/show that you really enjoy that is based on a book.  Read the book.  Write a short comparison between the two on this post.  Don't forget to include which you liked better.

Now that Marking Period 1 is over it is a good time to look back on what went well and what could have been different.  What did you struggle with?  What did you improve on?  What is something you want to do more of in Language Arts as the year progresses?  Don't forget to SEW it up!
