Live Life
In Kris Allen's song Live Like We're Dying there are some pretty intense lyrics. All songs have meaning. I am wondering what you guys think the meaning of this song is. Don't forget to prove what you are saying.

i probably think that he means to live life to your fullest. In the song it says "Our hearts are hungry with food that won't come". This line tells me that hes anxious for action and he wants to live life to its fullest.
i agree with bowen because think the song is about living life to the fullest. i think he's trying ot tell everyone that you should live like you're goingto die the next day.in this part of the song, wher it says, "And we’re all staring down the barrel of a gun. So if your life flashed before you. What would you wish you would’ve done. Yeah… gotta start Lookin at the hand of the time we’ve been given here. This is all we got and we gotta start pickin it. Every second counts on a clock that’s tickin’. Gotta live like we’re dying." in this part of the song think kris is trying to say. when you're put in a life or death situtation you have to think of the stuff you havent do in your life. also that you should do whatever you want because the clocks ticking so you have to hurry up, life isnt going to last forever.
I agree with Bowen and Laura. I think he is saying that you should do everything that you want in life because something could happen to you and you will regret not living your life the best that you could. In the song it says " Every second counts on the clock that's ticken'." I think that means that life is short and your not going to have the time to wait around and not live your life. If you do that then you will have wasted your whole life without accomplishing any of your goals, hopes, and dreams.
I think he's just saying live life to the fullest. It must have been great to win American Idol, so he also might be giving advice too; to follow your dreams and just have fun with it! It's a great and inspirational song. He also says, "We've only got 86,400 seconds in a day to turn it all around or to throw it all away..." so basically I think he's saying, don't waste time, just go have fun!
I think that the meaning of this song is to never sit back in life and to live it to its limit. This song also means to be expressionate and live life the way you want it not how people tell you to.
i think the meaning of the song is to live each day as if it were ur last. because you never know when it is your last chance to do something. so if you want to go sky diving, then do it and dont wait and never do it. also to not hold back wat you want to say becausee it might be your last chance to tell that person and you will regret it if never get the chance to tell that person

As the clock moves you are one second closer to the dying, so he is saying take chances and just have fun!
I agree with everyone who blogged so far. He's pretty much saying that we should live life and each day like it's our last. When he says, "Sometimes we fall down and cant get back up Were hiding behind skin thats too tough How come we dont say I love you enough Till its too late its not too late " it means that things in life are going to hit us hard, but somehow, we manage to fight past it. You have to think about your life and know what and who is important in your life(who you'd call with your last goodbyes) It wants you to be happy with eveything you do because it's ll important and it may be the last thing you do, because nobody's to say the world won't end tomorrow...(and this song is actually by a band called 'TheScript')

If you constantly sit around like a couch potatoe, you would never get the chance to experience the thrill in life. you would want to try to have fun before you died. Right?
I think that this song is about aperson who wants to live life to the fullest, i think the title says that if people know thier life is ending sometime soon, they will risk things and do something they have always wanted to do but had to much to lose so they were held back. i think everyone should live like they are dying because people who hold back when they have the chance to do something outrageous eventually regret it.
The next question I would pose is this...is the meaning of this song too superficial. Is there depth to the song or does the artist "slap you in the face" with his meaning? And is this a bad thing, or perhaps do artists need to be direct in order to allow everyone access to their work?
I would think that the song "Slaps you in the face" big time. The chorus is "Live like we're dying" Which pretty much means live your life like youre dying everyday. I think that it might be bad for some songs. I enjoy a song more when theres multiple meanings to the lyrics and its kind of mysterious what the artist is trying to say.
