Separation of Blogs
I am going to separate the two class blogs into reading and writing. Anything you have to say/ask/add about writing should be posted on the Just Write blog. Remember that everyone must post a full-length creative piece on that blog before the end of the marking period and students should also comment on that writing as well. If you have not added yourself as an author by giving me your email and responding to the author inquiry...you need to do so soon!

It won't let me accept the invitation! What should I do??

Yea its really annoying to sign up. its so confusing, because you have to retype your password a lot and then do other stuff to accept the invitation.
I never got the invite. May you please send me one? What writing peice do we put on the blog? Do we need to be an author inorder to post a book review?
For some strange reason I can't even get on the link. I really need help on what we need to do to accept the invitation.
Do we have to do a new writting piece or can we take an old writing piece and put it on the blog.
I checked my aol mail everyday since Friday and I didnt get the link.

I think this is a good idea so other people can see our own writing. I was able to create an account and post a writing piece.
Just thought that I'd mention that I got the email and it is working now! I set everything up and I will post tomorrow. I am still editing and adjusting, but I will have it done by tomorrow afternoon or sometime at night!!

I think that i will like the just write blog because it easier then handing in an essay so it will help me do better.
This is a good idea because more people can tell us some things we need to improve on. Also no one can use the "my printer isn't working" excuse.
i agree if luke R. some times i'm out of ink or my printer doesn't work so i can't print it. by making it part of thr blog i wont have those problems.
I think that this "just write" blog is a great idea for us to share our writing with our peers because usually, kids don't get the opportunity to do so! I also like how it doesn't HABVE TO be a short story, it can be a poem! So kids can spread what they are best at!

Mr. horvath, i havent bean able to connecto to the just write blog, it wont let me great a google account, it will say connection error, i even tried troubleshotting it, could i just give u written work or email you?
i think this is a very good idea because it makes stories that we write, easy to access so a lot of people can see it and it makes it a lot easier for people to comment on it.
I like this, it just that I don't have really any creative righting that I can post. But I do like to read and comment on other peoples writing pieces.
This is a great way for students to get to read other pieces that students that arent in there class share. By reading those you can get good ideas and comment on what you think. i signed up for the blog and its easy too. The only thing im not sure about is can we post a writing piece we shared in class?
I think it is great idea to post writing pieces on the blog because it will make my writing better if people comment on it and tell me what is wrong with it, but I really don’t have any writing pieces so I think we should write more stories during class.
I loved the just write section. I liked that we got to pick the topic. I also liked that we all wrote about something different. It was also nice reading everyones writting peice and seeing their skills. One thing I really liked was that it didn't feel like a prompt and we got to write about what ever came to our minds in that one moment.
I think it is a great idea because this way other people can read it and tell me what is wrong also it will help everyone on their edit and revise.
I really like the idea of having a Just Write Blog along with this one. It's fun getting feed back from other people in our class about our writing pieces and being able to just type the writing and then press enter. It lets us be more creative also because instead of a prompt it's just whatever you feel like writing at that moment whether it's a poem or short story.
i think this is a good idea, but can we post any type of writing on the just write blog? like poems and essays?
This is a great thing so far, most of the stories i've read so far are amazing, its great to see how well my classmates write.
i agree with just in case. all of the stories iv read so far are really really good... students are submitting their best work i think
Separation of the Blogs is a good idea. It lets us as students switch gears between the two easy because now there is no chance of us mixing up the two. I also think this will help people help each other more on certain topics because if you have a writing question, you can post it on the writing Blog.
i think this is a good idea because now we can get feedback on our stories not only from the teacher but from our classmates.
i like this becuz if we need help on our short stories we can get advice from our peers.
