The End is Near
submitted by Emily - 8th grade is quickly coming to an end, but it feels like it just got started. What is your opinion about this year? Did it go by fast or slow for you? Was this a good year overall?
I thought this year was a very productive as a whole because i grew as a writer in Language arts. For example Mr. Horvath tought me how to use good figurative language like similies and metaphors and magic threes. Therefore, these techniques that i learned this year are helping me write much better.
I think this year flew bye! Work was a little more difficult then last year but then again we are going to high school next year so we have to be prepared, and again the work and being busy in school all the time is what made it fly by. We are already in May, only a month left till were out.. and it's going to fly by.
I think that this year went by so fast much faster than last year. I think that it did because we had alot more work this year than last year especially in Language Arts. We have had alot of essays to do and grammar to learn. The classes are harder and there is more work to do. Therefore more work makes the classes go by faster.
This year definitely went by really fast! Like Bri said, we only have about 1 month to 1 month and a half left of school and that is going to fly by too because in the last few weeks of school, we have a lot of fun things to do. For example, we have some trips, 1 more dance with the seventh graders, THE 8th GRADE DANCE (!!!!!!!), and the talent show! Therefore, the saying, "time flies by when you're having fun" fits in perfectly with this situation! :)
I think this year went by really fast.Overall, this year was a really good year I have learned alot this year in every subject and eighth grade was a geat experience. Therefore this year was very good.
I think that this year went extremely fast, I still remember walking into Jockey Hollow for the first time in two months in September. I feel like things that we learned over six months ago, were things we learned yesterday. Therefore, this school flew by very fast.
This year went by so fast! It seemed just yesterday that school stared, and I have to say, I'm going to miss 8th grade alot. Even though there was a lot of work to do, and the classes were harder than last year, I'm pretty sure everyone had a lot of fun. Also, this year was very productive. We learned a lot and I'm sure everyone is ready for next year!!

This year went by really fast, i cant believe that it is May already! We only have a month or so left of school and i think thhat these next weeks are going to go even faster because we have so many fun things left to do. Overall, this year was great but it was a lot harder than 7th grade. Therefore, this year was great and it flew by.

This year went by so quickly. I still remember the beginnging of the year..we were writing upside in the back of our writers notebook for horvath. This was a good year. I had a lot of fun in classes and feel like I learned so much. The work was challenging like Will said which made us smarter.
I thought this year I learned a lot more than i have previous school years, and I felt like Horvath has prepared me for high school. I also think this year has gone by extremly fast, and it was a good year overall because I had fun in all my classes and learned a lot.
I thought this year went by really fast because of all school work we got. The work took our minds of the days because we were constantly thinking about school and tests and homework. Therefore, I could never keep track of the days, i could only keep count of the days until my next test.
I think this year was a great year and went by very fast because I had fun this year. For example, in all of my classes the teachers make learning fun and they go by a lot quicker. I enjoy my classes and that made the year fun and very fast. Therefore, I had a lot of fun this year, which made it go by fast and great.

I have really great teachers this year that try to make learning as fun as it can possibly be which has also helped this year to be great. We also got a lot of school and home work which made the year go by very quickly. Therefore, the classes, teachers, school work, and home work made this year go by very fast.

As everyone is saying, this year flew by! I think this year has been great. It most definitely has been my favorite year so far. I love all of our teachers and people on our team. I think that many will agree with me when I say that this has been a stressful year and one of our hardest, but it all paid off. Therefore, this year has been an amazing year and I am going to miss everyone.
I feel this year went by super fast because it feels like just yesterday i moved here. This year was tough for me because in the middle of my eighth grade year what was sopposed to be the best year yet, was completely turned upside down because i moved and was not expecting it. My last quarter in my old school went by so fast and i never wanted it to end,but it did and i moved here and it seem just like yesterday that i was the ne kid in school, but its been six months. OMG! Therefore this year has gone by so fast. (they always say time goes by fast when your having fun!)

This year was great. We have done lots of stuff in class. I've met new friends and learned new things. This year has gone by really fast for me. I will miss the good days of Jockey Hoolow. I've had my ups and downs, i think thats part of the reason it went by so fast. But things come and go. I guess this is just one of them. I'm not mad though becuase i got high school to worry about now. So long Jockey Hollow!!!

I think this year went by slow in the beggining but once the snow days were over, it flew by. We are going to finally be high schoolers, by the way there was a fun couple of years. Only 4 more years till college...
I'm starting off by saying that this year went by extremely fast. It seems like just a week ago we were seventh graders, and now we're off to high school, where the next adventure begins. But this year, I would have to say was the best for me. I made so many new friends, I was challenged in classes, unlike last year, I tried many new things, I have found out much more about myself than I ever knew, and I created memories that will be some of the best I will ever have. Overall, I have accomplished so much this year, and to me, that's the definition of a great year. Full of friends, experiences, memories, accomplishments, and so much more, this year was amazing.
I didn't like this year in the beginning or middle because I thought that it wasn't fun and we had so much work to do, but towards the end I started to like it. I started to like it because we started doing a lot more fun stuff like more celebrations and not as much work. This year definitely went by very fast, both years did. Therefore, I started to think that this year was going to help me because of all the work and I overall liked it.
