I just finished "In Our Time" by Ernest Hemmingway. This collection of short stories were very good because of the writing style. Ernest Hemmingway wrote very simple sentences, but with great power beneath them. For example, "He had cut his foot very badly with an ax three days before. He was smoking a pipe. The room smelled very bad." These sentences are very basic, but very moving. Therefore, Ernest Hemmingway's writing style makes the collection of stories great.

I just finished "Complete Short Stories" by Graham Greene. This collection of stories were excellent because of the different kind of stories. There were affairs, obsessions, fantasy, myth, dream, fear, pity, and violence. Also, in every story it reveals Greene in different moods. Such as, cynical and witty or searching and philosophical. Therefore, the different kinds of stories he wrote and his moods in them, make them fantastic.

I finished reading "Green Angel" and I loved it. I have read it before and every time I read it makes me appreciate it even more. It makes you look at the world in a complete different way. It makes you realize that at any moment your life can be taken from you and you have to make it on your.

I just finished the book Speak, by Laurie Halse Anderson. I really liked this book because of the meaning. The meaning I got out of it was that you do not know what people go through by just looking at them. For example, in the book, Melinda was known as "the weird girl" in her high school. Little did everyone else know, she had been through so much in her past years. Therefore, this book was great because the meaning behind it made it a lot more interesting and worthwhile to read.

I also just finished "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson. I think this book was really good because of the protagonist and narrator, Melinda Sordino. For example, when she expresses herself through her art. I think that brings a lot of meaning to the book and to her artwork and class. She also provided a better plot and climax by not telling anyone about the party and what happened. Therefore, Melinda Sordino made this book very good.

I have read the book "In Our Time" by Ernest Hemingway, and i loved reading this war book because the book was told from different prospectives. For example, there was short stories from people before the war and there was stories from people during the war. Plus there was short stories from other people after the war and since the book was told from different prospectives it helped me understand the feelings of the war from different people. Therefore this story is told from different prospectives which makes this story more interesting and easier to understand.

I just finished The Book Thief and I thought it was really good because it was told from an interesting point of view. It was told from the point of view of Death, which is unusual and interesting at the same time. It let the reader figure out what the main character was thinking, which is also cool. Since it was told from an interesting point of view, I was more interested and like the book more.

I just finished "Leviathan" by Scott Westerfeld. This was a great book because of the main character, Deryn Sharp. Deryn Sharp is a young girl who pretends to be a boy and she is aching to join the British Air Force. She grew up as boyishly as possible and one time in a hot air balloon was all she needed to long a career in the skies. She accidently ends up in a huge air ship, the Leviathan. Therefore, Deryn Sharp made this story excellent.

I read the book "Leviathin" by Scott Westerfeld. This book is verry good because, it takes place during World War 1 but with many diffrent twists, the Allies heave fabricated animals and the Central Powers have robots. The're two main characters, Alek Ferdinand and Deryn Sharp. Alek is from a royal family but is now on the run. Deryn has to pretend to be a boy and get into the airforce with her brother that she worries for. Therefore, this is a good book.

I read the book, Deadline by Chris Crutcher, and I liked it because it had strong characterisation. For example,
Ben has one year to live, and in the beggining of each chapter, it shows conversations between Ben and God. Therefore, Chris Crutcher used strong characterisation.

I just finished the book Deadline by Chris Crutcher. What made this book very good was its characterisation. This book was all about the characters. I really liked this book because it had some sports in it. Usally the extra credit books are just clasics and good literature but this book interested me cause it could relate to my live. Therefore Deadline is a very good book and I would recommend it to anybody.

I just finished "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. This was a great book because of one of the realization's reached by the end of the story. For example, Liesel learns that words cause destruction and the peace in the world. When Liesel's foster mother gives her max's second book, The Word Shaker, this is noticed. Therefore, the realization Liesel made, made this book great.

I finished "Green Angel" by Alice Hoffman. This book was excellent because of the protagonist, Green. She is shy and has the infinite patience to tend to the family garden. She is then put into a horrible situation when her whole family dies except her. She changes her name to Ash through these hard times. It is the adventure she goes through to heal. After that, she then returns to her original self, Green. Therefore, the protagonist Green made this story great.

I finished "Deadline" by Chris Crutcher. This was a great book because of the courage and will of the protagonist, Ben Wolf. Ben is eighteen years old and has a rare, uncurable blood disease. Though he knows he will die in a year, he is not going to feel sorry for himself, but he is going to make the most of his year. He has big plans and hopes to do everything he wants before his time comes. Therefore, the courage of Ben makes this book excellent.

I finished the book, "The Book Thief" and I thought it was an interesting book, but still good because it revolved around an interesting topic. For example Liesel, the main character, first finds the book, "The Grave Digger's Handbook" and then she keeps stealing other books from different people. As she reads, she realizes she loves and hates the words of the stories she reads. Therefore this is a unique book, one I will probably never forget. It was just very strange…
