At the Drive-In
submitted by Anna M - On June 6, 1933 the first drive-in movie theatre opened in New Jersey. Have you ever veen to a drive-in, would you go to one? How do you think the experience would be different than the movie theatres we go to right now?
A drive-in theatre compared to a theatre now is very different. At a regular theatre, so much money is spent on food and drinks and you have to watch the movie in a dark room. While on the other hand, a drive-in theatre is much cheeper because there's no place to buy food, instead people would have to bring their own and anyone would enjoy the nice outdoors when watching the movie. So yes, I would enjoy going to a drive-in theatre.
Yes I have been to a drive-in theatre and it was fantastic! I was in Cape Cod but I forget what movie I saw. They drive-in is very different from the normal movie theatre because it has lots of different features. For example, you don't sit in seats, you sit in your car. In addition, if you wanted to go get snacks, you can still be watching the movie because it is outside and you don't have to go into a "main lobby". Therefore, these to theatres are very different.
I would go to one because I am open to new things so, a drive in movie theater sounds like a good idea, it also would be more comfortable since your in your car, you can do stuff you usually can't do. Therefore I would goto a drive-in movie theater.
I would like to go to a drive-in movie because it would be a lot cleaner. I'm not a neat freak but movie theaters can be gross with gum, pop corn, and soda everywhere. However, your car is however clean you want it to be. Therefore, I would like to go to a drive-in movie.
Yes, I have been to a drive in movie theater in Cape Cod and it was so much fun because it didn't feel like you were watching a movie, it felt like you were actually in the movie. Also, you don't have to worry about anyone else around you because you just sit in your trunk or on top of the car andbe confortable with out bothering anyone. There are actually speakers that you can put inside the car to hear the sound better. I would most definatly say that they are much different than the actual movie theaters, in a good way. I think that the drive in's are more, "make yourself at home" type of thing. Therefore, I love drive in movie theaters and will deffinatly go to one again!
Yes, I have been to a drive in Movie Theater. I loved it! It was so much fun because you get to sit in your car and do not have to worry about the people around you. All you have to do is sit in your car and turn your radio on. It is easy and you can feel at home. You won’t have to worry about the people behind you kicking your chair or talking. Like Abby said above it's a "make yourself at home" type of thing. Therefore, I like drive in movies ten times better then regular movies and are so much fun to go to!
No, I have never been to one but I believe that it would be a great experience because you do not have to get out of your car. For example, when you go to a drive-in you just watch the movie from your car and when you are at a movie theatre you have to get out of your car and then go into the lobby, get food and then go into the theatre. No, I have never been to a drive-in. I've also never seen one in person. One of my favorite movies is Grease and in this movie the characters are at the drive in alot. I think it would be cool to go to a drive in because you don't have to worry about annoying people around. For example you're in your car so you can't hear the people around you so if someone is talking on the phone or couging loudly it does not disturb you while you are watching the movie. Therefore it is a more fun and relaxing experiance.
Yes i have been to a drive-in movie. It was a fun time with family. We saw the movie four brothers. It was great. The drive-in movie is different than a regular movie theater becuase first off your outside in your comfertable car, its way more relaxing, and you can bring your own food and have a little picnic. I think that a drive in movie would be better to see than a regular theater.
No, i haven't been to a drive-in theater before but i would love to go to one. I've seen them on TV and they seem pretty cool because you get to sit it your car and you don't have to waste money on snacks and you also have a lot of privacy and comfort. Overall, it would be a really interesting experience to go to one sometime in life.
I have never been to a drive in theater. but i think it would be really cool to go to one. A drive in theater is probably better then a regulare one because you dont have to spend all your money on food at the theater, you can just bring it in your car. A drive in theater would be a fun expeirience.
I have never been to a drive in theatre before. I am assumning that it is not as good as a regular movie theatre because the technology is so much more better in a movie theatre than a drive in theatre. There is surround sound in a movie which is cool. therefore, a movie theatre is so much more better because you can get more out of the movie than in a drive in movie.
i have been to a drive in and i thought it was pretty cool. unlike a movie theater the drive in movie theater is outside and because its outside you get your own personal headphones because in the drive there is no place for surround sound or any of the fancy movie effects. i preferably like the movie theatre better because you are in your own personal seats and you will not see or hear any of the distractions from the outside world. therefore I like the drive in movie, but i would prefer the movie theater better because it has better features. will
I've been to a drive in theatre, and it was very cool. It was really nice to see a movie from the comfort of the top of your car, with refreshments from home. It was also really interesting to see what it was like to see movies back in our parents' days.
