Sports
submitted by Jordan - I think a great topic to talk about on the blog is what your favorite sport is. People like different sports and have different opinions why. What sport is your favorite? Don't forget to SEW It Up!
I like hockey the most because its the most unique in my opinion. It is the only competitive sport played on ice which makes it really interesting. You can also fight and punch when you get into the pros. It also has a lot if hitting and you can skate really fast into somebody and hit them hard. Therefore, speed hitting and fighting are loved by a lot of people and so do I. This is why I like hockey.
My favorite sport would have to be basketball becasue it is a really interasting sport. There are lots of moves that you could learn and this all started out in a gym class in Springfield, MA. It was played useing a ball and peach baskets hanging from a cieling. The most ineresting part was that it wasn't evolved from a different sport it was invented by one man named James Niasmith. Also basketball is a great workout and is very fun. Therefore basketball would have to be my favorite sport.
I think the best sport is soccer because it keeps you the most active throughout the game. In basketball you have timeouts,and halftimes. in baseball you have innings. and in football you also have timeouts, ends of quarters and halftimes. But in soccer you play continually until halftime and then you come back on and play the rest of the game. Therefore, since soccer only stops for halftime but all other sports have innings or quarters or timeouts, soccer is the best sport.
Soccer is the best sport because it is one of the most played sports in alll the countries. All the countries in the olympic games in 2008 played soccer and in a 8 out of 10 websites it also states that soccer is the most played sport in the world. Therefore, since soccer is most played sport in the world and no one would play it if it was bad, it is the best sport in the world.
Football is by far the best sport. You can compete with other teams, play pick up games with friends, and its a contact sport. The best example of GOOD football to me would be Masuk football. They went 13-0 in the year 2010. I hope that when I get to Masuk that we go undefeated. Therefore i think that football is the best sport.
Football and Basketball are by far my favorite sports. This is because they're so much fun to play and i enjoy watching Football and Basketball games. Usually when i watch sports related things (other than basketball and football) i get really confused about who has the ball, what a fowl is...etc. that but when i watch football or basketball i know all the rules and i never get confused. Also, i like Football and Basketball because they're so much fun to play. I have a basketball hoop and a backyard big enough to play football and whenever we have a barbecue or if i have friends coming over i always make sure we have a game of Football or Basketball because both the sports are a lot of fun to play and its a good way to have some exercise. Therefore, Football and Basketball are my favorite sports because i love watching them and they are a lot of fun to play.
I beleive that football is the best sport because your whole team has to work together to win. For example, if you are a receiver and the ball is going the other way a you jog or even stand still on that play the defender will know that the ball is not going your way figure out where it is going and make the play. But, if you run your route the defender will follow and he wont make the play. Therefore, football is the best sport.
I love football the best because it is not confusing at all to watch or play. For example, all you really need to know is the different fouls and who has the ball! So, it does not get too confusing. One time, my friends and I were playing in my yard and one of them had no clue what they were doing but after I explained all of the fouls and things like that... she looked like she had been playing for years! Therefore, football is very easy to comprehend which makes it the best sport to play or even just watch!
